ABOUT IIT...A BRIEF INTRODUCTION.....


  • IIT means Indian Institute of Technology a premier Indian institution imparting engineering education . Admission to IIT is based on a pre-entry exam. Coaching classes held to prepare for such entrance exam are there in every big city.
  • IIT-INDIAN INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY,which has many technological course and it is aided by the central government of India.
  • Studying in IIT is considered prestigious.It is the institute which provides professional courses.it has the highest grade of education.Getting admission in IIT needs lots of hard work.
  • Today, IITs are the first choice of the students who are aspiring for Engineering. The IITs use the Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) to select students for their undergraduate programmes and IIT-JEE is considered as one of the toughest Entrance Tests in the world. For less than 5,000 seats, more than 2.5 lakh students took IIT-JEE in the last year.
SYLLABUS :-
  • The syllabus for the IIT-JEE is primarily based on the CBSE syllabus. There will be two question papers, each of three hours duration. Both the question papers would consist of three separate sections on Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Questions in these papers will be of objective type. Incorrect answers will be awarded negative marks. Candidates can opt for Question Papers either in English or in Hindi. This option should be exercised while filling the application form, and it cannot be changed at any later stage. Aptitude Tests for B.Arch. and B.Des. programmes will be conducted for those candidates who qualify in JEE and are desirous of joining these programmes.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATION:-
  • Candidates who have passed (10+2) or equivalent qualifying examination and secure at least 60% marks in aggregate (55% marks for SC/ST and persons with disability) in their respective Board Examination are eligible. A candidate can attempt JEE only twice, in consecutive years.IIT-JEE is a competition amongst the toppers. So, it is advisable to start preparation from 9th class itself. Structured planning, determination and hard work are the essential ingredients to success.
